Hi there! My name is Julia Birdsell and I am delighted to join the Lake Harriet UM Preschool community after recently returning to the Twin Cities from Colorado.

With a Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education from the University of Minnesota, I bring three years of preschool teaching experience. My background includes teaching at a nature-based preschool in Colorado, where I developed a deep appreciation for incorporating the outdoors into children’s learning experiences.

While the mountains hold a special place in my heart, I’m excited to reconnect with Minnesota’s beautiful lakes. Outside the classroom, I enjoy practicing yoga, going for walks, and summer camping adventures in my rooftop tent!
