Welcome families to Lake Harriet United Methodist Preschool and to infants! We are so happy you’re here. My name is Alyssa Rodriguez or Ms R. My co-teachers will be Ms. Catherine and Mel.

I have been working with children in some capacity or another my entire life. I was born and raised in Minnesota, then spent the early part of adulthood on the Washington/Oregon border. I have four beautiful little girls of my own and two cats named Daphne and Eloise Meowington. In my spare time I enjoy singing, reading and spending time with my family outdoors.

Professionally, I began as a nanny in Washington state in 2012 until moving back to Minnesota in 2014, at which point I nannied for another family until 2017 when those children grew up. At that point I entered centers and have never looked back! I attended Hennepin Technical college and Bethel University for child development and education.
I look forward to getting to know you and your family. I really value open communication and collaboration, so never hesitate to reach out to me via email or Brightwheel. I try to answer within an hour but will always answer as soon as I can. I know it is so hard to leave your baby, so never feel like you are bothering me asking questions or even for an update on how baby is that day.
